The dried out river bed in Kakuma that had been flooded only months before

8/7/03: "After a day like today, it's hard to process it all and tell all the things that happened and what it felt like in each instance. We started the day off with breakfast after which everyone loaded onto rovers and a bus to head to the main IOM office compound. The camp of Kakuma is huge and to get to the IOM compound you must drive down a long, bumpy, dust road which includes passing through a dried river bed that fills in the rainy season. "
