The children were definitely excited by our visit

"Despite the flying dust and continuously blazing sun, we take out cameras to the delight of the huge number of children trailing behind us who hurry forward and squirm to get in front. The whole time it’s almost hard to believe that any of this is real and that these people have been living in refugee camps for so long---most of the children have never known any other kind of life. That’s when it hits you that the acceptance of the Somali Bantu in the U.S. and their interaction with volunteers and churches will not only change their lives partly but completely and that an entire generation of a people will be put on track for a future that they haven’t even learned to imagine might exist.”
