Located in the "Pine Belt" of south Mississippi, Hattiesburg is home of the University of Southern Mississippi where I spent four years of college. It also has an historic downtown that I never explored until years later. (1997, 2011,2015)

This is the administration building which sits at the front of the USM campus and has become a symbol of the whole university. Here's our international students group enjoying a day out at Paul B. Johnson state park. This is just to show that the "hot and muggy" summers of Mississippi can actually be nice! The old train depot has been refurbished and updated to look very nice. One of many old art deco style buildings in the historic downtown of Hattiesburg. The old (and still used) Saenger Theater downtown.
