At the start of the year, my church student group held a retreat at Parkside Ranch in the Magog-Orford region of Quebec. This was my first chance to really see the countryside in the winter (covered with snow) as well as my first time to try a variety of winter sports which aren’t possible back home! (1998) |
| Piles of snow and great weather greeted us at the entrance to Parkside Ranch---I’d never seen so much snow in my life! This is the hill that we ended up inner tubing down... My first time ever on snow skis. You could tell I had no idea what I was doing! Here’s part of our group as we are cross-country skiing through the woods near Parkside Ranch. |
