While Mannheim is not the most attractive city in Germany, it does have several interesting corners beyond its central market area (Kurpfalzstraße) with its crisscrossing trams and electrical wires.  I enjoyed a visit to the Museum of Archaeology, Technology, and Nature as well as our tour around the various old churches scattered around the city.
