Entering Sedona, the landscape changes quite startlingly from desert and stone to bright red rock. It presents a classic landscape of Arizona that has been featured in many westerns throughout the years. It is now one of the most popular visitor sites in the state as well as a magnet for movie stars, retirees, and new age practitioners (seeking the supposed "power vortexes" throughout the area). (2005)

Aptly named "Bell Rock", this is one of the first standout formations you see upon entering the town of Sedona. An overview of the town nestled at the bottom of the large rock outcropping. Another recognizable formation and hallmark of the city called "Cathedral Rock". This architectural oddity is a church built directly out of the rocks. More of the interesting red rock formations to be found in the city.
