8/10/03: "The big event of the day was a trip to Nairobi National park.  It's a fairly large reserve right outside (and in sight of) the city of Nairobi.  The view was pretty cool---several large open landscapes of grassland.  We were taken (and driven through) there by Pindie and David who, being residents, have been through the park a lot and know a lot about the animals.  There are a number of dirt roads throughout the park which you just amble about in with you vehicle---preferably a sturdy one."
